KIRCHWERDER REGIONAL SCHOOL
1. Prize, restricted competition, 2017

The design concept takes reference from the traditional long-houses of the region. These large volumes carry a regional identity and were developed to form the two long buildings of the main school. The arrangement of the volumes creates a strong entrance situation and meeting place facing the nearby town. The courtyard is formed like a funnel and opens itself to the surrounding landscape. A new sport Hall occupies the northern part of the site.
